Your program:
First day: Beaune
- Arrival in Beaune in the beginning of the afternoon.
- Wine tasting of 12 wines in order to understand the classification of the soil and to have an overall sight of “ Côte de Nuits” and “Côte de Beaune”.
- Dinner and accomodation in Beaune.
Second day: Around Chalon and Mâcon
- Breakfast.
- Visit by your own of Les Hospices de Beaune. A wonderful building of the 15th century masterpiece of the gothic art, composed of the Great Room of the « Poor » the Chapel of the Apothicary. The hospices are known all over the world by Roger Van Der Weyden.
- Departure to Rully and « Côte Chalonnaise », visit and wine tasting in a cellar.
- Visit of the ancient abbaye Saint Pierre et Saint Paul in Cluny. The Benedictine Abbey cast its influence over the whole Europe. The abbey church is a masterpiece of Romanesque art and was the largest in Western Christianity. Cluny was a spiritual, political and artistic capital in the Middle Ages and today it is the guardian of an exceptional inheritance : the ruins of the abbey church.
- Visit and vine-tasting in a cellar near Mâcon.
- Overnight in 3-star hotel in Mâcon
Third day: Romanèche-Thorins
- Breakfast at the hotel.
- Visit of Plaisirs en Beaujolais : Don’t miss the expositions, automated theatres, 3 D-films ans many more surprises that will cross your way while going on tour of all the imortant places . “Hameau en Beaujolais” invites you to discover the know-how of wine growers. “La gare” offers you a nostalgic and surprising time-journey to the wolrd of trains.
